Hi Tiege, I don’t think you’re wrong at all in either case! I compared the line-work on Pictish stones and the line-work within/upon Ethiopian magic scrolls and enjoyed what I found to be similar. I superimposed a spiral design on the book cover though it wasn’t really a spiral with the fine-line of either the magic scrolls or the Pictish stones.
This one strikes me as having African themes like the last one; though I was dead wrong about the last one too lol.

Ah, glad I didn’t make myself look stupid! Very ingenious layering of Pictish and Ethiopian themes! Never heard of such a thing!
