I was ‘barely old.’

In 2015, when I did this drawing, I was barely old.

Leonard Cohen already said the more poetic almost young.

Little did I realize, ten years later, I would create my most energy-intensive work to date.

A whirlwind out-of-the-blue arrives to stir the cauldron.

I complete a diptych. An unexpected diptych.

Work #1 (of the diptych) discussed here.

Work #2 (of the diptych) discussed here.

Little did I realize, when making my first mark on the first roll of paper, the energies I would require.

It seems the whirlwind stirred up a triptych. An unexpected triptych.

One-third of the way into the final roll of 5′ X 33′ paper I needed to deal with matters requiring my attention.

Celtic bird-man (in a warmer black watercolour) is where & when the project paused.

This pause allows me time to imagine & sketch multiple possibilities. Unexpected possibilities.

I will complete this large work as soon as possible.
