Dream
The collaged images of MLK, Thoreau and Gandhi remixed with a photo of waves crashing onto a beach in California uploaded by user Tewy @ Wikipedia Commons: http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/2.5/deed.en
I looked and looked to find the name of the photographer who took the famous shot of MLK praying. If you know who it is please let me know, I would love to credit him or her as well as the photographer of Gandhi & the creator of the Thoreau daguerreotype.

A melding of great minds, ideas, and images. The dream lives on.
Beautiful.
Thank you Karen. Dr. King sure does elevate all of us who are touched by his dream and work.
I like the progression of the images from the slow seascape enfolded with revelatory light, where the face is almost hidden, then the sudden abruptness of Gandhi’s face with Dr. King’s. Then the stillness of the burden in the final image.
The stillness of the burden. I think of myself as a person of words but I don’t think I could have imagined these words. Thank you Jack.
All I saw in the first pieces until reading these comments was the ocean….and it was still so appropriate.
Thank you j.h., yes, something about the rolling ocean and massive crescendos, really the list goes on and on, and the vision, power, heart (again, the list goes on and on doesn’t it?) of MLK. Thank you for your thought and observation.
I’m with all of these wonderful comments and with your powerful and sensitive work – strong post Steven…
Many many thanks for your visit and thoughts John.
Steve, thanks for sending me the link to your blog. This entry particularly moves me. We all have dreams but Dr. King was able to dream wider and farther and more lovingly than most of us can.
Hi Maureen, Glad to see your thoughts. Yes, agreed, this is so true about Dr. King. Vastness in mind and heart.
