I looked and looked to find the name of the photographer who took the famous shot of MLK praying. If you know who it is please let me know, I would love to credit him or her as well as the photographer of Gandhi & the creator of the Thoreau daguerreotype.

I like the progression of the images from the slow seascape enfolded with revelatory light, where the face is almost hidden, then the sudden abruptness of Gandhi’s face with Dr. King’s. Then the stillness of the burden in the final image.
The stillness of the burden. I think of myself as a person of words but I don’t think I could have imagined these words. Thank you Jack.
All I saw in the first pieces until reading these comments was the ocean….and it was still so appropriate.

Steve, thanks for sending me the link to your blog. This entry particularly moves me. We all have dreams but Dr. King was able to dream wider and farther and more lovingly than most of us can.
